Pianist, Chamber Musician, Educator, UMFC in Warsaw, Poland
Dr hab. Grzegorz Skrobiński is a Polish pianist and chamber musician, currently serving as a professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he also earned his doctoral and habilitation degrees. He was an official pianist of the prestigious Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań in 2022.
A graduate of UMFC, he studied piano under Professor Elżbieta Tarnawska and chamber music with Professor Katarzyna Jankowska-Borzykowska. He further honed his craft under the mentorship of world-renowned artists such as Kevin Kenner, Dang Thai Son, Sergei Babayan, Hiroko Nakamura, and many others.
Skrobiński has performed at Poland’s most esteemed venues—including the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, and the European Centre for Music in Lusławice—as well as in concert halls across Europe, Asia, and Africa. He regularly collaborates with top-tier artists like Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Agata Szymczewska, and Hina Maeda, and has shared the stage with many internationally acclaimed musicians.
His discography includes five acclaimed albums, notably Modern Soul, Different Things, and Nowakowski – Chopin, which features world premiere recordings of rare Polish chamber works.
Beyond performance, Skrobiński is a passionate educator. His students consistently achieve top honors in national and international competitions. He is a sought-after juror and a respected lecturer at numerous masterclasses and festivals throughout Poland.
